What it won't remove

Be wary of anyone who claims otherwise
FluorideAdded by WA Health for dental health. Only reverse osmosis (RO) meaningfully reduces fluoride — standard filtration does not.
NitrateHigher in some northern Perth groundwater zones. Needs RO or ion exchange — not standard carbon or sediment.
Dissolved salts / TDSTotal dissolved solids pass straight through a standard filter. RO is the only whole-of-house answer.
"Everything"No single whole-home cartridge filter removes every contaminant. We'll always tell you straight.
Why we're upfront about this: Perth's tap water is already safe and compliant — every locality met health requirements in the latest Water Corporation report. Filtration is about better taste, less scale and removing chlorine, not "fixing" unsafe water. If you ever need fluoride or nitrate removed specifically, that's a reverse-osmosis job, and we'll point you the right way rather than sell you something that won't do it.
