The base every home gets: three stages, matched to your water
A 5-micron sediment cartridge catches sand, rust and grit; a catalytic carbon block reduces chlorine, taste, odour and trihalomethanes; and a third stage handles scale where your water needs it. On Perth's treated mains water, three stages is what we fit as standard — sediment and carbon earn their place in every home.
The third stage — scale protection, where your suburb calls for it:
Salt-free NAC
Sits last in the system and conditions the water so scale is far less able to form, while keeping the minerals in. No salt, no wastewater, and the media runs about two years.
Carbon protects it
The carbon stage strips the chlorine first, so nothing disrupts the crystal formation the scale media relies on. Sediment → carbon → scale, in that order.
Sediment and carbon is plenty
In Perth's softer areas the scale stage is doing less, and we'll tell you straight — no upsell to a stage you won't feel. Every system we fit is still three-stage.

The stack you need
A system carrying scale protection costs more than sediment-and-carbon alone. Your suburb's hardness decides whether you need that stage.
Where your water comes in
A supply point that's easy to reach and mount near costs less to fit than one that's awkward or far from a sensible spot.
Any pipework changes
Sometimes the plumbing needs modifying for a clean run in and out. When it does, we tell you before you commit — the quote is written and fixed.
Every system we install uses standard 20″ × 4.5″ cartridges, so you buy replacements from us or any filtration supplier in Australia — the system never ties you to one source. The builder gives you the installed price for your exact system and home.
Your suburb decides a lot of it.
Perth's hardness runs from very soft in the hills to among Australia's hardest up the northern coast — that's what decides whether you need scale protection at all. We'll tell you honestly if your water doesn't need much.
What's involved in the installation.
Fitted to your incoming mains, usually near the meter. Most installs take about half a day, with the water off for a couple of hours of that.

A licensed plumber fits it
The mains connection is done by a WA-licensed plumber, with bypass valves so the house can run unfiltered if a cartridge is ever out.
Flushed, tested, handed over
We flush the system, check flow before and after, set your change reminder, and leave you set up to run it.
About twenty minutes a year after that
The only upkeep is the annual cartridge change — do it yourself with our guide, or we can do it for you. No contract.

Why isn't the price on this page?
Because a single figure would be a guess. The cost depends on the system your water needs, where your supply comes in, and any pipework — so the builder asks a few questions and gives you a real, fixed number instead of one that moves on the day. It takes about two minutes and needs no personal details until you want a firm quote.
How many stages do I actually need?
Every system we fit on Perth mains water is three-stage: sediment, carbon, and a scale-protection stage where your suburb's water is hard enough to call for it. The builder works out whether you need the scale stage from your suburb and your answers.
How long does installation take and is the water off?
About half a day, with the water off for a couple of hours of that. A WA-licensed plumber does the mains connection, and bypass valves mean the house can run unfiltered any time a cartridge is out.
What's the upkeep once it's in?
One cartridge change a year — about twenty minutes yourself with the guide we include, or we can do it for you. Standard housings mean you buy replacements from anyone; nothing locks you to us.
